I never mentioned Ninestar

Sorry, I assumed the “they” in your comment on the article posted by OP referred to Ninestar, as the article was about that firm

@carl_marks_1312@lemmy.ml avatar

Yeah no shit, If no genocide is going on obv you won’t have sufficient evidence

carl_marks_1312, (edited )
@carl_marks_1312@lemmy.ml avatar

Yeah you’re right that is why china should stay guilty until proven innocent, even when the evidence for genocide is paper thin in first place

The source I posted is western and the fact that they even acknowledge a lack of evidence is quite telling.

Since it’s impossible to prove a negative and taking western hegemony in (western) news sources into account makes i an almost impossible task to disprove the genocide narrative, I’ll post the Chinese perspective which provides a much larger context: www.qiaocollective.com/education/xinjiang

Having said that, short of any comprehensive study looking at BYD EV fires, it is difficult to conclude from the anecdotal reports that the company’s EVs have a higher likelihood to catch fire.

Tesla fanboys cope

EVs are the future, just need to deal with the low quality crap being sold.

Actually public transport is the way to go

The article: archive.md/yQezP

ASML Holding NV canceled shipments of some of its machines to China at the request of US President Joe Biden’s administration, weeks before export bans on the high-end chipmaking equipment came into effect, people familiar with the matter said.

When the invisible hand of the market is not giving handjobs to the right people

Wennink has publicly opposed the measures and warned they might encourage China to develop competing technology. “The more you put them under pressure, the more likely it is that they will double up their efforts,” he said last year in an interview with Bloomberg News.

This type of comment reads really chauvinist, especially when you’re defending Biden for increasing oil production in the other thread

carl_marks_1312,
@carl_marks_1312@lemmy.ml avatar

nuanced and realistic is when you hold other gvmts to higher standards than your own. Got it.

While I agree with the amount of CO2 being the meaningful statistic, I see China doing a lot more in that regard than the US.

  • Per Capita CO2: China is way lower
  • Produces and deploys renewables on an unprecedented scale
  • Public transport is taken serious

When the US/West exported it’s treat production to China pointing the finger to the total CO2 output is just chauvinist

carl_marks_1312,
@carl_marks_1312@lemmy.ml avatar

yeah you do, you dismiss the US/Biden increase in oil production as a necessary short-term evil, but dont do so for China. ie you hold other goverments to higher standards than your own

WHEN they’ve got the imbalance in-their-favor enough, they will gut & smash India: that is their plan.

Source: it came to me in a dream once

Modi’s relying on Russia, China’s economic-vassal-state, for protection against China, hands India to China, strategically.

India and the US have deep military ties and a strategic partnerships. India is buying Russian oil because it’s heavily discounted.

See it for what it is: now is only a “location in time”, during the slippery-slope ( low steepness, after 1 or 2 more world-process Punctuations, the slope will be STEEP! ) time before global-TANTRUM/POGROM that , combined with political-tantrum, including “populist” dictatorships, combined with religious-tantrum, combined with food-web collapse, combined with an increasing-fraction-of-humankind becoming refugee…

What no theory does to a mfer

I am curious to see what happens.

Learn history and economics and you won’t need to be curious

He’s devaluing the currency (apparently dollarizing it was even too radical for his supporters) and applying shock therapy and thus building an export Economy and seeling off state assets for pennies to foreign multinationals.

Basically recreating 90s Russia which worked out pretty good as we all know
