i am more than willing to engage on any positive claim you want to make (i probably agree with a lot of them). what i’m not willing to do is tolerate personal attacks and dogpiling.

commie,

for some people this might be true. for others, no.

commie,

i would know.

commie,

stop being dramatic

commie,

if rights are a fiction, then appealing to them is meaningless.

commie,

it’s not murder.

commie,

but they can’t master french cuisine.

commie,

i don’t fund animal agriculture. almost no one does. it’s not that i don’t understand your position, it’s that you’re wrong.

commie,

then they’re not really mastering the cuisine: they’re changing it.

commie,

talking about consent from animals is absurd. it makes as much sense to discuss consent from doors or locks. do you get consent from a door before you put your whole body through it? or a lock before you jam a key into it and twist it?

commie,

i don’t believe in rights. so appealing to rights, when trying to convince me of your moral position, is absurd.

commie,

the use is completely different from your use. i still don’t think your use has any entrenchment, and i suspect lacks any real foundation.

commie,

i am not responsible for their decisions, and i don’t pay farmers or abottoirs.

commie,

is it saying? is it voting? you can’t seem to make up your mind, but i have been consistent the whole time: it’s neither.

commie,

What do you call separating a mother from her baby and killing him because he’s born male in the dairy industry

the vast majority of calves are brought to full weight before slaughter, but this isn’t torture either.

commie,

in torture inflicting pain or distress is the point. if all of these procedures could be done without the pain or distress, they would be. the pain or distress is incidental. it’s not torture. qed

commie,

you also said i kick dogs, which i do not.

commie,

but you can test the theory of gravity. what test can we make for your theory?

commie,

people made meat before people had money, so it’s celar that money can’t cause the production of meat.

commie,

but no lives are saved by being vegan: more animals are killed every year than the year before.

commie,

where are all the animals that were saved?

commie,

accusing me of trolling doesn’t change the truth of what i said. it should give you pause that my position has remained the same the entire time, while you have continually needed to nuance and make exception to preserve your world view.

commie,

your comment said “stop kicking dogs”.

commie,

Boycotts work.

sometimes.

commie,

You can test supply and demand with lower supply items much easier, it’s universal.

ok. so now you’re saying that we would test the price discovery by loweing the supply? maybe. to make that happen we would need to control the entire supply side or we could simply start buying up the available supply. can you show me the curve for price change?

commie,

How do animal farmers make their money? From consumers.

this is a severe minority. most of them sell their products to big suppliers.
