0.18 was a big change (for example websockets to http), I'd imagine future versions are unlikely to be so drastic and will allow Jerboa to be compatible with older versions
I'm pretty new to the fediverse, and I find the idea amazing. But one thing concerns me though. How will server owners be able to afford to run servers with massive amounts of data coming through them? Theoretically speaking, if a Reddit migration were to happen how would server upkeep costs look like?
Took this picture about a month ago, figured I would stop lurking and make my contribution. For anyone wondering the nails are temporary and most of them have fallen off now. They are more humane than de-clawing and helped her get used to the space without tearing my furniture to bits. Also very cute.
Okay this is cool as fuck. Going to try it out for Lemmy but RSS would be amazing.
This made me laugh:
Q: Can I haz Reddit?
A: I won't do the heavy lifting of integrating a proprietary platform with a $15 billion valuation that can't even be bothered to maintain a solid set of client API libraries. If you feel like, go ahead and PR!
Either in a client (I've been using Jeroba) or in my Lemmy profile. I'd love to be able to block words I don't want to see stuff about... Like trying to avoid spoilers for movies, or just wanting to avoid mentions of certain people, but without blocking entire communities.
It doesn't look like this functionality exiatings currently either on the Lemmy end or the client apps (Jeroba). I'd probably wait for things to settle a bit and raise it as a feature suggestion for Lemmy
Jerboa and Lemmy instance incompatible versions after today's update (lemmy.world)
Pretty sure Im on lemmy.world so how do I notify the admin(s) or when are they going to upgrade?...
How do server upkeep costs look like for fediverse stuff?

I need to survive for 3 days without pooping, and eating as little as possible. I can pee, but not very often. It can't take up too much space. What food do I pack?
Please don't ask why I need this....
Is there a way to filter specific keywords for Lemmy?

FOSS Status and Platform Support
Is this project free and open source? If not, will it be in the future? Also, do you have any plans to support iOS and/or kbin?
