I figured out yesterday that the recent "refactoring" of bus public transport changed a lot between my town and my workplace.

there's no longer a direct bus route and the alternative would be to take two bus lanes, in which the combined ticket value would be around 5€ and probably around 1h 20m trip

between that and just taking an Uber for 6.34€ and 20 minutes, there's hardly a choice

@luisfcorreia @djlink Yeah, the change did nothing to fix the underlying issue of the entire network being designed in a hub and spoke way (every route moves you to or from the centre of Lisbon and there's little to no good radial routes).

But that's not just a problem of the routes, it's also infrastructure. The roads and rails themselves suffer from the same underlying issue.

Trying to validate a weird redirect/301/ssl issue.

I'm visiting https://www.vim.org on FF and it's fine, but in Chrome Canary it's saying the certificate is invalid.

Can anyone else try this out too? (I'm on a mac) - I'm wondering if maybe it's fine and I've somehow hosed my cache… 🤔

@rem Maybe Firefox trusts that root but Chrome doesn't?

Have you ever wanted the experience of being confused and just asking "Why"? Here's a way you can get that experience right here, right now!

Simply, if you're on Windows, press:

Shift+Ctrl+Alt+Win+L

@Nifflas @efi Actually it looks like it's a bit simpler than that.

Some time ago MS released a keyboard with an "Office" key. That key uses combos to open different microsoft apps and websites.

But, for compatibility reasons, the "Office" maps to Ctrl+Alt+Shift+Win. Hence why L works. Becuase of that, W should work for Word, X for Excel for example.

CSS people: how is "0.125rem" better than "2px" for things like borders? Isn't the only difference that one is relative to document font size, which is probably not what you want for things like borders? (zoom already applies to px, font size is for text?)

@developit "rem" used to be used to allow the size to scale up with the font size (for people who customized their font size).
