Just been banging my head against a wall trying to work out why an injected dependency was coming through as null in a WebApplicationFactory test.
Turned out it was because I was doing the injection via a primary constructor, and switching to a normal constructor fix it! I assumed primary constructors were just syntax sugar - so this is surprisingly unexpected.
Anyone know why primary constructors would behave differently for DI?

@davidwengier That's a very good question! I'm still fighting a different null reference exception in the same place - so you're right, it could have just been the debugger! I assumed I'd hit the next null reference exception, but it could have just been the same one.

@khalidabuhakmeh Do negatives :) (ie. start at the top position (stand on a chair), then lower yourself down as slowly as you possibly can. Do a few reps of those. That's a good way to start off.

Yeah, I totally agree. Sad that everyone's so spread out now too. I think I'm going to try to use Mastodon more now. As you say, Twitter (erm, X (WTF)) is getting toxic and ad-ridden. And Bluesky and Threads are nowhere near mature enough yet.

I actually find the opposite re. discoverability to be honest. The ability to follow hashtags as if they were users, really helps with that for me.

Yep, exactly that re. DMs. I mostly prefer DM converstations on Discord now.

Has anyone experienced really bad toothache/pain that the dentist can't explain? I've been having really sore teeth lately, not always from the same tooth (three different main areas it comes from for me). Dentist can't find any issues even after a full x-ray of the entire jaw 😢

@kkarhan Head is fine. Had a lot of back issues the past year due to two torn lumbar discs. Had a steroid injection earlier this year which helped a lot. I'm now going to the gym each day, which has helped dramatically, and my back feels really good at the moment. Don't think it's related.

Woah! I've been using Vi for 20 years now, and have only just accidentally discovered that the ci and di (change inside) and (delete inside) commands work when the cursor isn't inside those things! It'll find the next occurrence. Even if it's on a different line.
