“Light trucks” and SUVs need to be taxed way harder. There’s way too many people driving around in fucking massive cars for no reason. They pollute more, they wear our roads more, they are more dangerous to others, there needs to be fewer of them. There needs to be fewer cars in general but there really needs to be fewer large cars

Fascinating piece of US culture: if you have an American flag sticker, t-shirt, hat, etc you are almost certainly a huge asshole. And there are even special variations of the flag (eg thin blue line) to let people know specifically what kind of asshole you are

@matt bleh that’s totally valid and I hate that you have to think like that to hope that there will be some less-than-desirable bare minimum. As developers we really need to do so much better for our disabled community

Finished up my leg laser just now! 6 session on upper and lower legs. Excited to have one less appointment going. I think maybe next summer I’ll want to do another few sessions on upper legs just to finish it off, but I’m really happy with the results

My electrologist let me know yesterday that my authorization letter is expiring so I needed to send in photos to get a new letter. It really sucks to have this kind of interdepartmental friction. It’s not enough for my electrologist to say we need more, I need to have a dermatologist review photos again. Dumb.

Also I called the clinic last week to try to move forward with vaginoplasty and had a similar experience with them asking for photos, which I said no I’m not taking nude photos of myself and uploading them to the internet. You’re out of your fucking mind for even suggesting that. She said she would send an email with instructions to set up an appointment with a nurse, never did.

I called back today and this time I got scheduled a phone appointment with a nurse no problem so I dunno man

That’s something that really sucks is having to be constantly vigilant and advocating for myself and being proactive. It’s hard. This process is traumatic inherently because I’m being forced into situations that trigger dysphoria all the time. Not every health working I interact with seems to view me as a human with feelings. I have to interact with a bunch of different departments that don’t seem to be able to communicate with each other. It’s just a lot

I fondly recall an aggressively arguing couple in the car next to us waiting at the lights in Pasadena some years back.

They stared back, somewhat cross, wound down their window to remonstrate. I opened ours, said "GOOD DAY", the lights changed and we were off! VROOOM!

UI-wise, I am struggling with that tab bar at the top.

Godot has an unusual set of tabs at the top that map to scenes, but the actual view is controlled by the top-level items.

I am not sure what to do about those two tab bars.

Since I didn’t feel up to streaming after electro yesterday I watched a bunch of videos from Squiji on character design https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLKPvAVLnnoQ83sZlUNf9j3NdLgPaBXyVa&si=YwUK5fjnJoMSz5uR

I now have a Pinterest board and a note with a bunch of thoughts about palette, visual motifs, usernames, etc haha. So I think for the next version of my PNGTuber I’ll have a lot more art direction and a more cohesive brand and style. I’m also thinking about things like Twitch emotes and sub badges etc. this is a deep rabbit hole if you want it to be 😱
