Very Serious People complain that the money printer go brrr money is going to create inflation. And it actually has created inflation, specifically: asset price inflation, and even more specifically: price inflation of the assets owned by those same Very Serious People.

Michael Hudson & Radhika Desai: Inflation’s Drivers

What has really been inflated, since 2008, has not been consumer prices, but asset prices — [that is,] real estate prices, stocks and bond prices, things that the 1% hold. Wealth has been inflated much more than goods and services. [This is especially true] for real estate.

This debt has been inflated not by government debt, not by government deficits, but by the Federal Reserve creating a $9 trillion subsidy to the banks to support real estate prices, and hence the value of bank-held mortgages and stock and bond prices.

Why would Very Serious People complain if they’re the ones benefiting? Because they only complain about the money printer when it might benefit the rest of us. Second Thought: Why The Government Has Infinite Money

That doesn’t sound fun, and I imagine I’d be pretty pissed off at Zionists right now.

There is much conflation going on, much of it intentional and sinister, but antisemitism does have a specific meaning & etymology pertaining to Jews, according to Wikipedia:

Due to the root word Semite, the term is prone to being invoked as a misnomer by those who interpret it as referring to racist hatred directed at all “Semitic people” (i.e., those who speak Semitic languages, such as Arabs, Assyrians, and Arameans). This usage is erroneous; the compound word antisemitismus (lit. ‘antisemitism’) was first used in print in Germany in 1879 as a “scientific-sounding term” for Judenhass (lit. ‘Jew-hatred’), and it has since been used to refer to anti-Jewish sentiment alone.

@InternetEh:

saw video of an IDF troop or Israeli cop (not sure which) choke-slamming an anti-Zionist Orthodox Jewish man for holding a Palestinian flag.

when I say Zionism is antisemitic, it’s based on what I’ve seen and what I’ve heard from Jewish people.

the guy got right back up, put his kippah back on, picked up the flag and got in the aggressor’s face. Braver than I’d be.

U.S. Quietly Expands Secret Military Base in Israel (theintercept.com)

Two months before Hamas attacked Israel, the Pentagon awarded a multimillion-dollar contract to build U.S. troop facilities for a secret base it maintains deep within Israel’s Negev desert, just 20 miles from Gaza. Code-named “Site 512,” the longstanding U.S. base is a radar facility that monitors the skies for missile...

Maybe they’re discussing it in the news because The Intercept broke the story four days ago:

The $35.8 million U.S. troop facility, not publicly announced or previously reported, was obliquely referenced in an August 2 contract announcement by the Pentagon. Though the Defense Department has taken pains to obscure the site’s true nature — describing it in other records merely as a “classified worldwide” project — budget documents reviewed by The Intercept reveal that it is part of Site 512. (The Pentagon did not immediately respond to a request for comment.)

More evidence to the contrary today: FBI says Hamas attack on Israel inspiring ‘new level’ of terror threat against US

The head of the FBI warned a congressional hearing on Tuesday that the Hamas attack on Israel has given terrorists inspiration “the likes of which we haven’t seen” since the rise of Isis a decade ago.

Christopher Wray told the US Senate committee on homeland security and governmental affairs that while the terrorism threat had been high throughout 2023, “the ongoing war in the Middle East has raised the threat of an attack against Americans in the United States to a whole other level”.

“We assess that the actions of Hamas and its allies will serve as an inspiration the likes of which we haven’t seen since Isis launched its so-called caliphate years ago,” Wray said.

9/11 was blowback from what our government did in our name in the decades prior. The military-industrial complex is protecting neither our liberty nor our security; it’s making line go up for American oligarchs 📈
