Look at this awesome project ! 😍
"In this video, I perform quite an awesome CPU upgrade on a Mid-2012 13-inch MacBook Pro, upgrading it from its original dual core Core i5-3210M CPU to a very odd quad core Core i7-3615QE CPU. The "QE" series Sandy Bridge and Ivy Bridge CPUs are unique, as they are the only quad core variants that share the same BGA footprint and pinout with the standard dual core "M" series CPUs."

@penguin42 yes :) I presume that the solder paste require lower temperature than the caps solder paste. If you read the french language, there is a nice forum thread very detailled about (de)soldering a BGA chip with a lot of pictures.
Apparently, they heat under the chip until the temps of the chip is 80°C and then, they heat above with IR.

"Soldiers in Ukraine are using Steam Decks to remotely operate a high-caliber machine gun turret. The weapon being controlled by the handheld video game consoles, called the “Sabre,” is unique to Ukraine and was built using money raised on a crowdfunding website that’s been operating since Russia first invaded Ukraine in 2014."
