Check to make sure your hotspot traffic is actually going over the VPN? I would bet it isn’t.

Good news! Brave for Android now let's u use your favorite uBlock Origin Blocklists!

Under Settings > Brave Shields & privacy

Can you now add custom filterlists and edit Brave's default selection of the already avaible filterlists. Some of you now that this was possible before too (via brave://adblock) but at this time it had no UI and wasn't a official feature, now you can easily add, remove and customize fiterlists via the the settings.

Warning to all Brave Browser Users

Blocking variations.brave.com which is used for A/B testing could potentially break Brave's functionalities. For me did Brave's "forgetful browsing" feature broke which seems to be disabled by default if you block this domain.

I’ll be the one to stay on topic instead of joining the omgchromebad crowd.

My question/concern would be, why would a browser need to connect to an outside source in order to Forget your browsing? What would it need to reference?

    rice, to jerboa

tried out @thunder_app and i like the look a lot and the UI is smooth but it's missing key features that will force me to keep using @jerboa or the web browser for a while longer. would love to switch but i need to be able to share links from the share button of other apps and thunder doesn't show in the list right now. you also can't post from the home page and have to navigate to the community you want to post to in order to post. needs changes but im optimistic

    Infinity going subscription-only!

    Infinity Announcement

This morning when I opened Infinity to check Reddit, I saw the announcement above: they're going subscription-only. Ironically enough, I couldn't scroll down to see the rest of the message including prices, if there were any. I also couldn't see if there was a button to close the message or start a paid subscription. I couldn't proceed to Reddit at all. My only option was to close the app completely. So I uninstalled it.

That's it for me using Reddit on mobile! Can't say I'll miss it much. But I added a LOT of content to Reddit that way, so it's their loss. Fuck you, spez!

They should have announced what that subscription fee would be. The fact that they haven't decided yet makes me think that I won't like whatever they decide.

What I see happening is starting at a low monthly fee. Many users will not subscribe/delete Infinity. Now Infinity raises the fee to meet Reddit's demands. Everyone else deletes Infinity.

I was holding out hope that there would be Infinity for Lemmy, but that ship has now clearly sailed.

So I guess its goodbye forever to Reddit.
