I find it hard to understand why many of my contacts are migrating to this umpteenth social network in the hands of a billionaire, when we have Mastodon, which is free and independent software, based on open standards managed by the community, that anyone can join without an invitation, and which has proved that it works well.

AI-written content is on the rise (and there are places where it has a role) but I want to make my position clear.
If you read about an app, distro update, or anything else on my site(s), it'll be written (however badly) by a real person.
Any editorialising, opinion, or framing (e.g., it's great, it's bad, newbie's will love it, etc) comes from a human mind, not an AI trying to write something that "sounds" convincing.
