    fedora 38 on a 2013 macbook , keyboard controls are clearly the primary annoyance, plus the non-free wifi thing.

    @zzzeek The best option is to have a hard wired connection to reboot on, then make sure the wifi is up.

    If you are getting a kernel crash, then I'd look at the dev-kernel installation and make sure that's all got matching versions like the article... other than that, it's really straight forward as you've seen I've done it across several versions... only fedora 37 is tricky with known issues: https://www.schabell.org/2023/01/installing-upgrading-fedora-37-on-macbook-pro-13-inch.html

    @paigerduty all us engineers met at the coffee machine while our Java code complied +40 mins on some crappy M$ VM monstrosityโ€ฆ it was great!!!
