I just received this emailed note on the issue of just continuing to call Twitter by the name Twitter, irrespective of what Elon says or does. Makes a lot of sense to me!:

The "Avinguda Diagonal" [Diagonal Avenue] in Barcelona is named as such, not only because it is diagonal to rest of the layout of the city, but because during the Franco years, it was called "Avenida del Generalisimo Francisco Franco". Yet, during all those years, the Catalan people never called it that, they always called it the "Diagonal Ave.", because, basically, it was. I think the same will happen to Twitter. Regardless of being called "X", "Y", or "Z", it will remain Twitter.
