The Amazon Alexa app for android is really slow and clunky for me. Especially irritating when you just want to turn things on or off or access a device quickly.
The planet’s wealthiest people are putting Earth on a countdown to extinction. Wealth inequality is a global crisis and taxing the super-rich is a pathway to saving the planet from environmental catastrophe, writes Robert Gordon....
You’re making the mistake of thinking “the rich” we’re talking about here pay income tax at all. If you pay income tax, no matter which bracket, you’re not rich. You’re part of the working class.
As someone already mentioned, BBC Radio 4 have some brilliant dramas. One of my favourites is “Tracks” by Matthew Broughton. Fully dramatised with cast/sound design/score its a thriller with a medical edge. lots of twists and turns There are 5 seasons too.
I think a lot of people have an apathetic outlook towards privacy because they’re cynical that anything they can do will have the desired effect. The belief that they can’t possibly outsmart these data hungry corporations without putting in what they consider to be hard work is enough to sacrifice it.
I'm genuinely so excited to see some of the more focussed communities blossom on this platform as they have on Reddit over the years. Which are your favourites and which do you think could succeed here?
I'm a bit overwhelmed by the response this has gotten. This thread could serve as a great source of inspiration for people who want to create subs (or is instances the right phrase now?) around topics they're passionate about. Forgive me the cliche but, be the change you want to see! If it doesn't exist, make it.
Halfway through Dishonored 2 ATM and loving it - feels a bit slicker and more polished than the original which I also adored. The game had a lot of issues with motion sickness in the past which prevented me from experiencing it.
Difficult to say what it'd be like as a newcomer as I'm quite familiar with the world and characters.
The gameplay is slick as ever and I'd argue more fun than 1 but there's not much of a tutorial at the beginning - a fair amount of assumed knowledge implied.
I'd say for the best experience, it'd still be best to play the first one as there's plenty of throwback storywise. They're very much married in that respect.
If your curious, the 1st one must be quite cheap these days and well worth it in my opinion.

What are some apps that are very very slow for no reason?
I already see the electron apps coming!
