My Vision Pro recently (Monday?) developed a faulty left eye display. All video output (passthrough, immersive, reset boot screen) was displayed crisply but with uniform grain all over it. (Effectively if a Photoshop grain slider was slid up.)

A few interesting observations:

I called Apple Support and did the software things and remote diagnostics on Wednesday, then took it to the Apple Store yesterday.

The thing that JetBrains IDEs really fuck up UI wise is that they mix your global IDE settings and project settings into the same panels. I should have a place for project settings and a place for IDE settings. Seems basic?

@collin I find that if you could go without your phone sometimes, on those occasions, just bring the watch out is really useful. And then of course the exercise, sleep tracking, alarms etc. It's small enough that I don't get addicted to it.

    So far, I think I'm enjoying Claud more than ChatGPT. It doesn't have as many features, but the way it responds doesn't infuriate me in the same way the other can sometimes.

    Mastodon has "Block notifications" under Preferences → Notifications → Other Notifications Settings.

    Twitter/X also have "Quality filter" https://help.twitter.com/en/managing-your-account/understanding-the-notifications-timeline — "when turned on, filters lower-quality content from your notifications, for example, duplicate posts or content that appears to be automated — it does not filter notifications from people you follow or accounts you’ve recently interacted with"

    @cheeaun no. See this screenshot of the post composer. The earlier screenshot of the private note composer seems to be using the fg/bg colors for @mentions in the post composer. Doesn't seem intentional?
