TODAY IS THE DAY OF THE #FIXTF2 PROTEST.

The aim of this protest is to get the message across to Valve that TF2 is currently in an unplayable state due to bots & cheaters, and VAC is completely fucking useless in dealing with the situation.

Videos, screenshots, art, memes, etc. - any of this is helpful. If you play TF2, the more footage of bots you can gather - the better. Use your favorite social media - Twitter, Reddit, Mastodon, Instagram, whatever it is that you use. Hell, it could even be other Discord servers. The more people get involved, the better our odds with this.

If you've never reviewed TF2 on Steam - review it, leave it a negative rating.
If you have a positive review for TF2 on Steam - delete it & make a new, negative review.
Demand Valve that they fix the game for the aforementioned reasons above.

I've extensively talked over the issue with multiple of my closest friends that I posted about a few days ago. The consensus that everyone told me was clear.

I need to leave my job. Find a new, better place to work at.

So, I'm doing just that. I've decided I'm going to be trying to find a new job. Staying at my current one until I find something new.

It's time to stop tolerating a toxic work culture.

Well, if anything, those types of comments my work colleagues made about me, all regarding a drawing that I use as a profile picture, is giving me all the more reason to just want to leave the company I'm working at.

Keep adding fuel to the fire, I guess. It'll just be easier on me to want to leave & find some place better to work at.

But yeah, I high-key do not understand this mindset of "anime pfp = small child" or whatever.

It's become a shockingly common sentiment these days and I'm not only sickened anytime anyone brings it up, doubly-so if it''s done in real life, and one that I don't understand where it came from or why it even is a thing.

I miss the days when no one questioned your profile picture, of all things. Could put whatever practically and not worry about it.

One concerning comment I've received consistently in passing is regarding the Satori profile pic. that I use on most social media.

For whatever reason, everyone just says it's p*do bait or whatever, or that "bro she looks like she's 8 or something", etc.

And every time I hear it, I'm just consistently left wondering like...what kind of straws are you trying to grasp at. I don't see it, I don't get it, and I'm tired of trying to "defend myself" or whatever.

It kinda reached a boiling point when I uploaded a new YouTube video 2 days ago and one of my co-workers immediately started off the day's conversation with "can you explain to me the trend of grown men using little children in their profile pics".

I just don't get it. I don't understand where they're coming from, or even why. Since when has it become wrong/taboo to have an anime-esque profile picture on the internet?

Well, since now I know that my work colleagues watch my YouTube stuff, as shit as that is, I at least changed my YouTube profile picture to something I've used for years from 2020 to 2023.

It's a 3D model of a donut someone made for me back in 2020.

In my Steam review for Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered, I mentioned that the game holds up well & still gets a recommendation, but felt bitter having to re-purchase the game for a second time with no discount or anything, excluding sales.

Log into Steam right now, the developers of Consortium gave all owners of the original game their new remaster free of charge.

Now that's exemplary behavior! Wasn't expecting it but was a pleasant surprise to log into. :blobmiou:

on friday at work, one of our HR staff came up to me, asked me about how my driver's license thing is going. told them that i've put it on hold since i'm planning a trip to the netherlands this summer so i'm saving for that.

suddenly the discussion pivoted about me not having a girlfriend when i said that and i'm just like ????

it got so bad that i actively told them to stop nosing into my own personal business and mind their own lol

rest in peace to my old pc

actively used it from 2016 to 2022, until i upgraded to my current pc.

from 2023 to today, it was used as a sort of hacked-together homemade file server/storage pc.

today is the day it's finally been retired, after more than 8 years of service. thank you for everything, champ.

to put into perspective how much i spent upgrading my old pc:

  • cpu was changed 3 times (g3260 -> i3-4170 -> i5-4460 -> i7-4790k (current))
  • ram was upgraded twice (first time because broken sticks and upgrade to 8gb ram, second time upgrading to 16gb)
  • swapped the gpu on it 3 times (gtx 1050, gtx 960, gtx 1650)
  • storage was changed on it more times than i could count
  • used to have an after market cooler for it
  • powersupply was changed twice, each time to accommodate a new gpu

the reason for its retirement this time is because i am a stupid fucking idiot and broke the cooler for it when parting it out to give my friend the gtx 1650.

i did get a replacement cooler, but the replacement cooler did not fit, it wasn't for an LGA-1150 type motherboard.

at that point i just decided that it's not worth investing any more time & effort into it, considering it's just going to be sitting around doing absolutely nothing.

hence, i've torn it completely down & put it away.

Sorry to those who saw the...exceedingly negative posts I wrote 2 days ago. Strong flurry of emotions, no one to talk to or vent those feelings to so I had to get them out one way or another.

I'm doing okay. I just need some extra time to myself. If some of my personal friends are reading, yes, this is the reason I've been offline for over 2 days now.

I'll be okay. Just need some alone time.

I find it very toxic and degrading to belittle someone for what they enjoy in their free time. Things like the music they listen to, hobbies they engage in or what else.

Even if it's meant as playful banter, sometimes boundaries get crossed and all I want to do is step away, shrivel up and go back into my comfortable, solitary bubble.
