on friday at work, one of our HR staff came up to me, asked me about how my driver's license thing is going. told them that i've put it on hold since i'm planning a trip to the netherlands this summer so i'm saving for that.

suddenly the discussion pivoted about me not having a girlfriend when i said that and i'm just like ????

it got so bad that i actively told them to stop nosing into my own personal business and mind their own lol

rest in peace to my old pc

actively used it from 2016 to 2022, until i upgraded to my current pc.

from 2023 to today, it was used as a sort of hacked-together homemade file server/storage pc.

today is the day it's finally been retired, after more than 8 years of service. thank you for everything, champ.

Sorry to those who saw the...exceedingly negative posts I wrote 2 days ago. Strong flurry of emotions, no one to talk to or vent those feelings to so I had to get them out one way or another.

I'm doing okay. I just need some extra time to myself. If some of my personal friends are reading, yes, this is the reason I've been offline for over 2 days now.

I'll be okay. Just need some alone time.

I find it very toxic and degrading to belittle someone for what they enjoy in their free time. Things like the music they listen to, hobbies they engage in or what else.

Even if it's meant as playful banter, sometimes boundaries get crossed and all I want to do is step away, shrivel up and go back into my comfortable, solitary bubble.

estimated delivery date said around may 20th so i lowkey kinda forgot about it.

just got an email and a text from my country's post that the package has already reached my country and that i have to declare it before it can even be shipped to me, as well as pay an import fee... :blobsweats:

some people i've been meeting IRL find it strange i don't use social media anymore.

like, yeah, i have accounts and all but i don't post or go on them so infrequently these days that i'd literally rather do other things.

i don't get why it's so strange to want to stay away from social media though. but that's just me.

Damn, okay, today I'm pretty proud of myself. I went out to meet someone I had only ever barely talked to online. Tough spot, I was able to help out so they reached out, got them what they needed.

Went out for drinks after, met a whole bunch of new people, even talked to a random German guy at a bar about controversial novelists and freedom of speech, wild.

I'm glad I'm slowly breaking out of my shell.

On Sunday I was thinking of going out for day 2 of Shadow Mewtwo raids but decided against it because...well I was tired. Used that day to rest instead.

Ice baths for your feet are a godsend.

I went outside on Friday, Saturday and Monday. Each day, walked around 15k steps. My legs are killing me and my feet are swollen, currently hurts to just walk around.

I'd try to use Meta's "Threads" platform if it actually let me customize the types of notifications it sends....

I don't need to have constant follower suggestions or that "x person started a thread" over and over and over and over again...just annoying.

I'm probably gonna go out again tomorrow to play #PokemonGO again, see how that goes as well.

Maybe I won't raid since I'm short on passes now but still. It's been great actually going outside every weekend and actually doing something rather than rotting away in my room everyday.
