isVeryLoud,

Lemmunities (I pulled it out of my ass, take it or leave it)

isVeryLoud,

I can't even access it anyway as the community's gone private.

isVeryLoud,

No more naming things, you were given fingers, use them to point at things.

isVeryLoud,

Gotta ask for both a source and your definition of a "tankie".

You keep using that word, I don't think it means what you think it means.

isVeryLoud,

Aight fair enough, that's pretty concerning.

Nothing wrong per se with communism itself, it just tends to be extremely unstable and quickly turns to authoritarianism, I don't think it's ever worked for any nation in history so far.

The defending of Uyghur genocides, and the defending of the CCP and Russian government is really concerning though. Good thing this platform is federated.

libretro has a similar problem, it's developed by a team of transphobic, homophobic, racist Russian apologists who border on Nazism. I don't know what attracts these people to FOSS development.

isVeryLoud,

I can't imagine having a picnic next to a departing plane must be pleasant anyway.

Unless you're really into planes, of course.

isVeryLoud,

"political orientation" is just the grouping and dilution of personal opinion. Change my mind.

isVeryLoud,

I would slip a word anonymously to your labour board, but I'm just another moron on the internet.

I think the right thing to do would be to not get involved directly with this as it could affect your relationship with the company as a client, but it is a relatively serious labour offense IMO.

isVeryLoud,

This is what web 3.0 is about.

Not crypto, but decentralization.

isVeryLoud,

Damn, we're already gatekeeping in here? Nice.

isVeryLoud,

I don’t see anything about lemmings, are we perfect?

isVeryLoud,

I like your idea!

There isn't really a good way to filter posts within a community yet on Lemmy, so I was worried about users getting flooded with buy/sell posts. There's a reason this community and r/Montreal has rules about buy/sell posts.

However I, too, do see an advantage in keeping the community united. We could have a weekly buy / sell thread for the greater Montreal region, as you suggested.

If people are interested, I could make a bot that automatically creates the thread for the current week every, let's say, Tuesday, and automatically pins it and unpins the old one. Let me know!

isVeryLoud,

Sweet! Unfortunately I missed the news by like a year lol
