I'm sorry but this is pretty hilarious. You know, we are talking about a pier in the Mediterranean. Where the low and high tide mark may be two meters from each other. And where one meter high waves are considered a gale. Who the fuck is in charge of the operation? Mr. Bean???
【Revealed: Israeli spy chief ‘threatened’ ICC prosecutor over war crimes inquiry】
Some excerpts from the link:
"The former head of theMossad, Israel’s foreign intelligence agency, allegedly threatened a chief prosecutor of the international criminal court in a series of secret meetings in which he tried to pressure her into abandoning a war crimes investigation"
"Cohen’s personal involvement in the operation against the ICC took place when he was the director of the Mossad. His activities were authorised at a high level and justified on the basis the court posed a threat of prosecutions against military personnel, according to a senior Israeli official."
"Another Israeli source briefed on the operation against Bensouda said the Mossad’s objective was to compromise the prosecutor or enlist her as someone who would cooperate with Israel’s demands."
"According to accounts shared with ICC officials, he is alleged to have told her: “You should help us and let us take care of you. You don’t want to be getting into things that could compromise your security or that of your family.”
"The Mossad also took a keen interest in Bensouda’s family members and obtained transcripts of secret recordings of her husband, according to two sources with direct knowledge of the situation. Israeli officials then attempted to use the material to discredit the prosecutor."
Also, the Israeli foreign affairs minister replying to the spanish recognizion of palestine with a clearly ai-generated image (of some people celebrating a ... nuclear strike? with some... shoggoths in the background?) feels very zeitgeist
In another episode of "I can't believe we are in the good side of history for once", our (spanish) government not only FINALLY has officialy recognize the state of palestine, but also have asked for a return to the pre-1967 frontier lines in Palestine, clearing that Spain won't recognize any frontier limit that's not agreed by the states involved.
That would mean:
Israel should end the West Bank occupation.
The israeli settlements in there should be under palestinian administration
West Jerusalem should be under palestinian rule.
(not specifially mentioned, but implied) The Golan Heights should be returned to Syria
(not specifically mentioned, but implied) The south of Lebanon should be returned to... well, Lebanon.
If we (plus ireland) could bring the rest of the EU to support this plan, it would be huge (probably can't, but babysteps).
The Germany behavior about everything Palestine-related is so clearly post-traumatic that it would be hilarious if it didn't mean they are supporting another genocide.
If an entire country could go to therapy, Germany would be in serious need to start ASAP
This is specially horrible, because William Morris wrote A LOT against the industrialization of the domestic arts, and about how things like industrial printing alienated not only the workers from their work but also people from their homes and environment. He blamed the industrial revolution for making humans less creative and making us forgot important skills, and you could call him the great great grandfather of the "do it yourself" movement.
And now they are selling AI-generated prints with his name on them.
I'm losing my shit about the Windows AI spyware feature storing it's data in windows registry and dumping all the text that goes in you screen into a sql-lite database.
Actually, if we go back 10 or 15 years, to when Google search was really really great, I'm willing to bet that the "feeling lucky" button back then had a higher ratio of accurate responses than any of the modern chatbots.
