I’ve noticed that I haven’t actually learned much while on Bluesky. I’ve been entertained, annoyed, and flummoxed, but I’m otherwise not gaining much from it so far. Maybe that’s what Bluesky is for?

@ctietze The way I understand mu4e/mbsync, by default messages are marked for deletion, but not actually deleted during sync. So a message deleted via IMAP is not actually removed locally. Setting Expunge to "Both" forces an actual deletion in both directions. The default is "None" but the man page says, " Once you have verified that your setup works, you will typically want to set Expunge to Both, so that deletions become effective." So far I've not had anything go missing. 🤞

@ctietze As far as I can tell, if it's marked for deletion (mark-for-delete) in Mu4e it gets rm'ed. If it's just marked for Trash (mark-for-trash) it gets moved to ./Trash. I assume that status is synced when Expunge is set to Both. Notmuch never deletes emails, so I'm not sure where things go when using that.

I think that is great, and being able to use my preferred formatting for posts awesome, but I have to admit, the combined markdown for links is perhaps a /little/ over the top e.g.: [[{{< relRef other-page-name >}}][Link Text]]
I almost feel sorry for the round brackets who somehow weren't invited to this bracket fest, but perhaps the round brackets were already occupied keeping my running.

@hl I ultimately decided it wasn't worth the hassle. Markdown-mode is quite good and using Markdown lets me skip an unnecessary layer of abstraction.

    @kev They're pretty great, but I ended up selling mine. You wrote, "...but I find it hard to retrospectively parse my notes if they’re handwritten..." I had the opposite experience. Flipping quickly through a paper notebook is easy. On the reMarkable, I found it to be much slower and clunkier.

    @kev So you don't find it cumbersome to "flip" through pages in the reMarkable? Could be that the software has improved since I sold mine a couple of years ago.
