@decryption shiiiiiiit, I just had an idea. Many multi channel irrigation controllers are 24V > so I wonder if one of the wifi ones with Home Assistant integration could be hacked up for your purposes?
@decryption that is a classic AC installer thing to do > makes the unit ramp up higher all the time so they donโt get a call back about it not being โcool enoughโ. That wall co troller does have a temp sensor in it (you can see a small opening on one of the edges). There are a series of codes to change it and the icon will change.
@decryption my 10c is I only spec Mitbushi Electric > few reasons they seem to not do lots of deals with installers, which I feel actually is a good thing! Installers that love them reckon the parts are super stable and rarely break screw up. And last is that in Japan I reckon the most units I see are ME. Others are Panasonic. Nothing scientific there I guess!
i was curious as to how they get the kwh figure on the energy star labels on appliances, found that they use AS/NZS 2442.2:2000, so looked on Standards Australia's Reading Room and itโs not on there :(
@decryption itโs disgusting. Imagine that but for every aspect of building a house. I have to pay for them, the builder separately, each trade. When at the same time the building code changes every rear to make better outcomes.
@decryption@Caprica agree on extended warranty! My F&P is great except one plastic roller that attaches to the belt melts itself off ever 12 months. Watched the guy replace it first time and now I canโt do it myself with a $20 part ๐
New dishwasher comes next week but not having it hasnโt been as bad as I thought. I simply immediately wash and dry whatever dishes I use so nothing piles up in the sink. One benefit is I never run out of clean dishes or flatware. And I never have to โempty the dishwasherโ.
@gedeonm life hack I want to make happen one day is to have two dishwashers and each having a full set of everything, and that is where you also store it all so you never have to empty it ๐ โฆmaybe a third just for cooking pots and pans hahaha
