When you use the phrase, “hate speech in Canada,” it is clear you are using the specific legal standard for criminal speech in Canada. That is not the only definition of hate speech. More generally, anything intended to express or incite hatred is hate speech, it need not be legally found to be a crime.

It confuses me to see photos of the King in the royal regalia. I’ve only ever seen a woman wear that purple robe and it looks to me like the King is cross-dressing. “Drag Queen.”

It fills a slightly different niche but there is also aether. I think Lemmy and Aether complement each other. Lemmy federates with other applications but Aether is ephemeral and takes advantage of P2P topology and and cryptography.

Honey bees have no business being in the USA in the first place. They are an invasive species. They cannot pollinate our local plants, and they displace our native pollinators. They are harmful to our ecology in North America. The only reason they are here is to be exploited as agricultural animals, but you’ve been manipulated into fearing that your entire food system is predicated on an insect that in reality produces nothing but sugar syrup.

The state retains the power to investigate an individual’s birth gender to determine if a crime has been committed simply by using the bathroom - investigations that could involve genital exams, chromosome testing, and more.

This does not only affect trans people. Florida is “do not travel” for EVERYONE.
