There are some new docs from Apple to go with the new features enabled by Apple Pencil Pro β they're well-written, and they have workable sample snippets with a SwiftUI/UIKit toggle.
Also a note from the HIG about new trackpad haptic support: "Apple Pencil Pro and some trackpads can provide haptic feedback when connected to certain iPad models"
Great blog post from Jordan and I can confirm that @iosdevhappyhour is working on organizing another in person viewing party for the WWDC keynote. This will be our third time doing so.
Apple broke non-String AppEnum in App Intents as of macOS 14.4 / iOS 17.4, so if you have say a widget with configuration parameters where the value is an AppEnum backed by an Int, those parameters just won't work and will always use the default value. Nice! (FB13737909)
There are some neat quality of life improvements in UIKit in iOS 17.4, like UIControl's performPrimaryAction() which can trigger context menus or dropdowns programmatically, and UIDatePicker.Mode.yearAndMonth
Am I the first AARP member to ship an app with a SwiftUI lifecycle? Would the Guinness Book be interested? Or should I hold out to get a world record for my inevitable future as the worldβs tallest mall Santa?
@simonbs I absolutley would. The only two things I care about in the App Store are if Iβm featured and rankings. Itβs the only reason I pay for app figures and the only two things I use.
@simonbs I honestly donβt have a good feel for how good it is these days. Spend Stack was featured quite a bit but so far I donβt think Elite Hoops has been featured yet
@simonbs also - I would love a push notification or email if I have a surge in rankings or hit an arbitrary threshold (ie notify me if my app ranks at or above X)
