I agree 100% with this, and did the same thing - though to say I "switched" is a little misleading. More like I added it to my suite of chatters, and use it any time I can.

Any time I can, being mostly limited to 1:1 chats. Discord is still (unfortunately) just better for chat rooms, particularly in open source communities.

Sincerely hope that changes.
