lemmyuser30,

Why not just export the secret key to the NAS and then import it on whatever device needs it? No reason to copy and paste the whole directory to each machine.

lemmyuser30,

Idk why you are down voted, this is some good comedy.

lemmyuser30,

LibreOffice was a fork of OpenOffice. Tell me why I shouldn’t use LibreOffice and should use OpenOffice.

Authy Desktop client will be discontinued from August 2024

Twillio just announced they’re discontinuing the Desktop version of their popular Two Factor Authentication client. Their proposed solution is for users to move to the mobile app, which of course doesn’t fulfill the use case of people who explicitly chose Authy because it had a desktop client....

lemmyuser30,

Sold to Mobime months ago. The enshittification will happen eventually.

lemmyuser30,

Yea let’s bash Mozilla about privacy while also name dropping Brave LMAAAOOOOO. What a joke.

lemmyuser30,

Remove every “AdBlocker” and install a real one, aka uBlock Origin. AdGuard is definitely a good extension but imo uBlock Origin is the way to go and using multiple have been proven to harm blocking capabilities.

lemmyuser30,

List is immediately disqualified for not including LibreX. Shame.

lemmyuser30,

Please don’t spread false information… China has been able to successfully identify citizens wearing masks for years…

lemmyuser30,

As much as I love Linux

Stopped here ngl

lemmyuser30,

Why are you complaining on Lemmy about what volunteers are doing LMAO? They don’t owe you shit. Submit your contribution.

lemmyuser30,

Submitting your own code for the feature will get said feature to your desktop faster. Again complaining on Lemmy won’t do anything. Maybe go on GitHub and communicate with the people volunteering their time and ask what the issue is. Obviously there is an issue or else such a feature would be implemented right? Since you said you can do it faster then them go ahead and do it lmao…

lemmyuser30,

I’ll correct your post for you chief no need to edit. What halfempty really meant to say: By entering the freeway, the protestors caused the blockage of traffic to be over 3 hours longer.

lemmyuser30,

OpenBoard seems dead. No word from the devs and no commit in almost a year. There is one fork that is trying to implement some new features here: github.com/Helium314/openboard/

Do you guys even know of Adblock Plus? (lemdro.id)

I literally haven’t seen anyone even mention it anywhere on the internet as if it never existed, when it comes to Ad blockers I always see uBO recommended with absolutely no mention whatsoever of ABP why? What makes it better than ABP? What happened to it? or maybe I’m wrong and ABP is not as well known as I think it is....

lemmyuser30,

Yes we know of it. That’s why we actively avoid it. It doesn’t take many searches to figure out its downfalls. AdBlock, AdBlock Plus, and the non Origin uBlock are all owned by the same company and they allow corporations to pay to let ads through.

lemmyuser30,

Not open source no thanks. I’ll stick to Organic Maps.

My experience as a casual user of Linux for 20 years, and my take on why it is never its year

Let me start saying my first approach with Linux was around 2000, the first distro I installed successfully was Debian, then moved to more user-friendly distros (at the time) like Knoppix and Fedora, and ultimately to Ubuntu. In the 2000’s I used Linux mostly for fun, do homework, and browsing. I used Knoppy for like a year...

lemmyuser30,

Please stop using OpenOffice and switch to LibreOffice. It supports everything you say is missing with OpenOffice. OpenOffice hasn’t been updated in a decade plus now.
