Why not just export the secret key to the NAS and then import it on whatever device needs it? No reason to copy and paste the whole directory to each machine.
Twillio just announced they’re discontinuing the Desktop version of their popular Two Factor Authentication client. Their proposed solution is for users to move to the mobile app, which of course doesn’t fulfill the use case of people who explicitly chose Authy because it had a desktop client....
Remove every “AdBlocker” and install a real one, aka uBlock Origin. AdGuard is definitely a good extension but imo uBlock Origin is the way to go and using multiple have been proven to harm blocking capabilities.

Submitting your own code for the feature will get said feature to your desktop faster. Again complaining on Lemmy won’t do anything. Maybe go on GitHub and communicate with the people volunteering their time and ask what the issue is. Obviously there is an issue or else such a feature would be implemented right? Since you said you can do it faster then them go ahead and do it lmao…

OpenBoard seems dead. No word from the devs and no commit in almost a year. There is one fork that is trying to implement some new features here: github.com/Helium314/openboard/
Does anyone know how /e/os compares to graphene os for privacy? I am thinking of getting a murena fairphone which comes with /e/os but supports custom OSs and am leaning towards graphene, but don’t know much about e.
I literally haven’t seen anyone even mention it anywhere on the internet as if it never existed, when it comes to Ad blockers I always see uBO recommended with absolutely no mention whatsoever of ABP why? What makes it better than ABP? What happened to it? or maybe I’m wrong and ABP is not as well known as I think it is....
Yes we know of it. That’s why we actively avoid it. It doesn’t take many searches to figure out its downfalls. AdBlock, AdBlock Plus, and the non Origin uBlock are all owned by the same company and they allow corporations to pay to let ads through.
Let me start saying my first approach with Linux was around 2000, the first distro I installed successfully was Debian, then moved to more user-friendly distros (at the time) like Knoppix and Fedora, and ultimately to Ubuntu. Please stop using OpenOffice and switch to LibreOffice. It supports everything you say is missing with OpenOffice. OpenOffice hasn’t been updated in a decade plus now.
