The RedReader app has been given accessibility status by the graciousness of reddit and will not have to shut down. The dev is not particularly happy about how fellow devs were treated though and still plans on adding lemmy in future. Read the announcement here
First all the bs with Twitter and Elon, then Reddit having an exodus to Lemmy (not complaining lol), then Twitch. Are we like, in an alternate self healing dimension or something?
Higher interest rates means less investment, resulting in these companies racing to make a profit. The reality is that Reddit is bleeding money and has been for years, and Twitter is barely profitable.
I know most of the Bethesda RPGs have massive mod support, and there's games like Minecraft that have more mods than anyone can imagine. I would consider those games pretty playable in their vanilla states. Would you say there are any games that were "saved" by modding? Or that are still kept alive by thriving modding...
Thank you for the constructive feedback. This is not a mockup, it's functional code. I will publish it and I will try to get it merged once I improve the styling and fix a few crashes. For the last point, I based the icon off of what similar apps like Infinity use. I guess it would make more sense to replace it with a bell or an envelope. Thank you so much for the very constructive comment :)
I've dabbled with Linux over the years, first with Ubuntu in the early 2010s, then Elementary OS when that dropped, and a few years ago I really enjoyed how customizable the gui was with Xubuntu. I was able to make it look just like WIndows 2000 which was really cool....
