Any #inkscape users on here? I am (desperately) trying to make a cd cover cutout template. I've made the shape to be cut out from several squares, but I would now like to get rid of the inner parts of those squares ( I only need the outline of the whole shape because it's for a cutout). How the hoot do I do that?

@madskjeldgaard Could you set the "Fill" to "No paint"? Under "Fill and Stroke" (Ctrl+Shift+f).

@madskjeldgaard Ah sorry, yeah, I'd misunderstood. To make this all into one shape:

• Select everything
• Press x, for "Shape Builder Tool"
• Click and drag over all the bits
• Press Enter

Well, if the Conservatives have indeed been trying to throw the next General Election – as it's looked like to me for a while now – picking 4th July for it makes perfect sense.

• Probably one of the more memorable dates (along with 11th September) that isn't a national holiday here.

• Summer, so we're inclined to be out and about, and perhaps swing by our polling stations.

• Not yet the school holidays, so school-age families mostly won't be out of the country.
