I just had a thought… what if we spent a day only posting in c/football… I didn’t say it was a good one.

I agree with you though. I burnt myself out on sport a long time ago. I used to watch a bit of everything until I hot a wall and stopped everything completely.

I started following again around the end of the Wegner era and now I usually only stick with Arsenal related content. r/football was how I kept up to date with stuff.

But, I’m glad c/gunners is active and with a range of people with open minds (at least I try to)

I’ve been watching highlights on the Palace V ManU game and United do not look cohesive in so many aspects. Their defending and goalkeeping aside, it didn’t look like they knew their roles for some of their set pieces.

On one of their free kicks, Eriksen is telling the United players lined up in the attack what to do. I know the team discuss what roles/tactics they are going to use, but it didn’t look like anybody knew what they were supposed to do.

You can see Eriksen giving Evans instructions, then Garnacho, then he steps away from the ball to go tell Antony and others lined up instructions. And even after that Evans looks kinda clueless on where he should stand. Give him the benefit of the doubt and maybe he was just trying to position himself according to the defensive line.

I like the idea that either we just straight up say no, or we entertain the idea and Rammers straight up says no.

But, he’s looking for regular football, as he should, and I cant blame him of he does decide Chelsea is his destination. As indicated, they’re in such shambles, I think it’s a terrible idea and could be worse for his career

I know Raya made a mistake and I know it gave Spurs a reason to rally, but I still feel 5.17 seems a little harsh. I understand why, but I felt like he did fairly well otherwise. Granted he didn’t have too much to do before that point. He was plucking crosses out of the air like a frog to a fly.

On another day that could amount to nothing but a blip in the game that the team recovers from.

I completely understand it. I’m by no means saying he’s not at fault for the mistake and you can definitely point to that as a key moment of when the momentum started to swing. You could also argue that it caused a domino effect where Rice ends up in an uncomfortable position that leads to the penalty, etc

I suppose I was more looking at it (although a limited viewpoint, lol) from an individual performance and not so much as a whole.

I kinda liked Leeds since I have a bunch of mates from there.

First football game I ever saw live was a preseason friendly between Leeds and Everton on 1st Aug 2015. I think Leeds lost, lol

Agreed, despite their position, they aren’t afraid to play some enjoyable football. If they had a better setup, I could see them being more competitive. If they could stay up who knows where they will go. But, maybe the parachute payments will help?

Not surprised Leicester will be back up. I can get behind Norwich. Maybe Ipswich to mix it up? xD
