Yesterday I learned that SpongeBob SquarePants is named “Bob l’éponge” in French and while this makes a lot of sense, it’s also surprisingly funny to me.

@sean remember that English/French are reversed so it’s more like « the sponge Bob ». It really is a literal translation. For some reason we never talk about the square pants in French. Not sure how it sounds too since I only watch it on YTV 😬

Good improvement for VIA Rail: their reservation system now allows seat pre-selection and hovering over a seat shows if it is forward or backwards facing. Not sure I trust it knwos direction of travel though. The left grey area would be the cab and this would be the first car in the train loco in back). Will have to check next time I see one of thos trains if VIA has loco on west or east side.

The bad: VIA insists on refusing to turn seats so everyone is forward facing.
