Ich freu mich immer sehr, wenn ich meinen „DAS KLO“-Tonie in einem Geschäft entdecke - was leider immer seltener geschieht, weil der Schwerpunkt inzwischen auf internationale Serien gelegt wird.
Entstanden sind Hörspiel und Figur, weil ich das System selbst cool fand und eine Geschichte für meine eigenen Töchter entwickeln wollte.

@jon @statsguy as I understand, it wasn't Eurostars decision to only serve St. Pancreas, but rather a demand to meet the new post Brexit border control requirements? That's at least what Eurostar staff told me on our last trip two years ago.

The “high speed” train Marseille - Bruxelles (that I’m taking as far as Lyon today)

Along its whole route it spends 67 minutes at stops! 🤦‍♂️

@jon yeah, ie London-Montbard (retour). We spent almost more time between Gare de Lyon and Gare du Nord than in a high-speed trainset. Okay, we could have caught an earlier Eurostar, but they didn't sell us the ticket - which is correct considering the unreliability of RER and Metro.

@jon did they cancel that last train a day. It was once a good connection to CDG for arriving and leaving. But then again, I try not to fly anymore - mainly because I hate airports and I consider CDG as a special place in hell.

@jon currently it's basically a monopoly, so ÖBB is milking that cow as hard as they can. Which they are totally entitled to, kind of. But oh boy, they really shouldn't. Even for train enthusiasts like me it's getting hard to argue in favour of NightJet. Same goes for Eurostar to London.

Rail Europe's reservation booking system for TGV, TGV Lyria and Eurostar is super smooth https://www.raileurope.com/ - you just need an Interrail pass code, the pass does not have to have been activated yet

So
Montbard - Paris Lyon (TGV)
Paris Nord - Düsseldorf Hbf (Eurostar)
Lausanne - Dijon (TGV Lyria)
are sorted

And the X2000 Malmö-Stockholm on SJ's site too
