@mschfr Jein. Aus Sicht der Ingenieure, ja. Für Instandhaltung entweder nein oder nur mit hohen Kosten, weil das Arbeiten für die Stabilisation der Schienen erschwere, und das ist öfter nötig bei höheren Geschwindigkeiten und Gewicht als mit eine Straßenbahn.

But this episode has echoes of the attack on Jo Cox for me - when a basic respect for democratic norms has broken down, where any oil is thrown on the fire by some figures to achieve a marginal advantage. Not pleasant at all

If only my knowledge of EU law had the desired impact this fast every time 🙂

My father wanted to pay a EDF French electricity bill from a Belgian bank account, and was told that this was not possible because the bank was outside France

I formulated a stern email to EDF for him, in French, stipulating this was not allowed as a reason within the Single European Payment Area (SEPA), and within a few hours they relented in a grovelling email!
