I’m using LumaAI’s genie on their Discord, works well, really fast to get a preview and then takes around 20min for a refined version. Still early days of generative 3d but it’s really promising, you can get some cool results. The meshes are still low res and unsharp, but I hope they will keep improving it.
Black and white close-up photo of the king of autumn’s mask. The moss, twigs, and feathers are displayed in intricate detail, revealing the texture and patterns. The mask’s elements seem to come alive, with every strand of moss and feather visible, giving a sense of depth and dimension.
The first one is amazing, in my opinion a future sci-fi classic. Second one is also good, the third one was OK, many interesting ideas but something felt off. Hard to follow the steps of the first novel. Anyway, I’d definitely recommend starting the series!!

How are you finding it? I read the first one around 10 years ago and loved it but didn’t keep reading because people said the style was very different. Are you liking it and do you think it can be read as a standalone book? (as I don’t think I would remember that much of the first book).
I just wanted to share some of my first impressions while using SDXL 0.9. And a random image generated with it to shamelessly get more visibility. I would like to see if other had similar impressions as well, or if your experience has been different....
I had been using the bot in discord a lot for a while. The prompting is quite different to what it was in 1.5 and 2.1, you should check the Pantheon channel in discord for a good idea of the prompts that gave good results. Basically my experience is that it works very well with simple prompts, and if you want you can also get very descriptive and will get good results. Negatives are almost not needed in the bot, but I think this may be because they were injecting them already, so the 0.9 that was leaked may need them.
Can anyone recommend any good novels or short stories set in a solar punk setting? I read a lot of sci-fi but somehow have never read anything set in this setting, I guess The Culture books could be considered solar punk in some ways but it's almost too futuristic.
This is straight from the SDXL beta on discord... can't wait to have this to try on my own PC with Auto1111, I'm sure tweaking the step and cfg settings would fix the texture details. Already loving how much better it is at text and at composition, and from what I've read should be really easy to train and tweak.
Not 100% sure, but from what I read it's not too far from what 2.1 needs. They have even fine tuned it on normal GPUs. I'm not sure if they will have different versions like they had with 2.1 where they released a 512 and a 768 trained version, which would require less VRAM.
