DuckDuckGo?

More like DuckDuckGone.

How much does it take before the EU slaps Microsoft into oblivion?

pixel,
@pixel@desu.social avatar

@volpeon depends on the amount of governments that are stuck with Teams.

The whole AI stuff is just such a bunch of "self-hyping up" about...arguably interesting technology

but the use cases they create are super stupid?

I know NO ONE, nil, not a single person, that on the regular talks to their voice assistant, even the not-fully-AI phone ones that existed for years.

Did a check on my drives to see how much of my 2 TB of storage was free

and I was nearing about 200 GB in total being left between both.

WinDirStat to the rescue!

pixel,
@pixel@desu.social avatar

My data drive being full with large games is fair, and I can clean up some stuff but I'll get around to sorting that out later.

> C: drive AppData folder shows 150 GB usage

and it's 4 files.

take a guess what kind of files these are.

pixel,
@pixel@desu.social avatar

actually, while it's 4 files, only one of those files takes up the bulk 140 GB

There's a lot of stuff in my Retrospring inbox

no worries, I didn't get spammed, I just don't answer questions I receive for months.

@kura Hey Kura, how are you doing today? :>

pixel,
@pixel@desu.social avatar

@kura I can somewhat relate to that, I sometimes get headaches from the weather as well, currently I am fine though.

Aside that, maybe a bit tired, but otherwise doing good!

And get well soon!

I've been looking for a simple CMS for a while now to create some basic websites. Everything I find always requires a lot of other things and preferably wants Node.js and such. Since that got on my nerves, I just created one myself... with PHP! :cursed_laugh:

Back to the roots.

pixel,
@pixel@desu.social avatar

@revengeday so, when are you opensourcing it? :blobcat3c:

pixel,
@pixel@desu.social avatar

@revengeday I wouldn't do that, I'd help you to improve it! :3

one thing that's not often talked about when people want to know how to beat procrastination is to use some esoteric decision making device like tarot or the i ching

pixel,
@pixel@desu.social avatar

@lain I genuinely struggled with this and then I found a quiz that resulted in a more fitting productivity method for myself.

Combined that with some to do list which partially gamified finishing tasks

and nowadays I'm not using that anymore. not because it failed, but because it worked so well that I turned all the things that I wanted into habits and that basically obsoleted everything beforehand.

Being part of the inner circle of a project and seeing how users/ecosystem developers sometimes act towards maintainers is quite frankly making me really angry.

pixel,
@pixel@desu.social avatar

Especially when maintainers do follow all the rules they set up for themselves and some random person's interpretation of them doesn't match and they get pretty rude in comments.

@lain the last one because it combines all the other options.

Slack is drunk. Our company workspace had a free trial ongoing and it expired 3 days ago, and it still says it's ongoing? (the features are obviously disabled though)
