I am getting the slight impression that people here have never had to go on working with someone who massively stabbed them in the back.

Been there, done that, was asked to fix the guy’s work when he later took sick leave. When I finally escaped his team, I took a deep breath, walked into his office… and invited him to join my leaving lunch. I hated his sanctified evangelical guts but sometimes you have to think long term.

Plus, I don’t care for cancel culture.

@snowonmars Waves from a series of dysfunctional workplace experiences with techbros that finally led to the freelance life .. because who has energy for that drama! But then finding you have to work with them again when they hire you on contract to come fix things they broke (at least the pay is better!) :blobcatgiggle:

@snowonmars Honestly, I think it was a good thing for me. I learnt not to carry the angst with me .. and to stand my ground. But also just got a little bit older = way less f**s to give about petty workplace drama. 🤷‍♀️

I'm not surprised they'll work with him either .. there were apologies, time has passed, and they're professionals.

@snowonmars I could never go back to full-time 9-5 in an office again .. but yeah those regular paydays were sweet!

I'd be a maniac without work tho (as evidenced by my slightly manic vibes the past week while I've had some downtime! 😂). I love the work I do now, but I am really aware of what a privilege it is to have the flexibility I do and to be able to pursue mad, creative projects and exercise my inner nerd.

@snowonmars Doesn't have to be as elaborate as this - Manneke is a pro puzzler (he helps me design puzzles all the time), so I build the complexity for him with boxes in boxes. We started with just a shoebox tho!

@snowonmars Is there food aggression between them? If not a little sniffy treasure hunt might be cool.

Give them a treat puzzle each to do .. a shoebox with treats hidden in scrunched-up paper, or in an empty cardboard toilet paper roll is good too. Something they can safely shred and it won't be a disaster if they eat a little bit.

Manneke's favourite game in the entire universe, and bonus - sniffy games are very calming and help my little hyper boy chill when we can't go run. 💜

    I just checked and Global membership is the same price I paid last time .. $22 US .. but their announcement was about the membership kit .. and I just didn't go there. They already get enough of my money via albums and concerts and BT21 and everything else I can't be trusted not to get tempted by! Shakes fist at Team Marketing!

    Still very busy and MIA on social media due to my job and my never-ending dissertation, but I have exciting news!! 🥳
    I work at a bookstore, and each morning we have a brief meeting about what's next. My boss talked about the BTS book that's going to be released in July. So now I'm out as an ARMY at work, and all my co-workers know that out of the 100 copies we'll get, one of them will be mine. Also, I work on July 9th during the release day so I want customers to know I'm ARMY too somehow 🥹❤️‍🩹💜
