@janl Makes sense! I am waiting for the law to be in power and the add panels to my rooftop terrace walkway. It's perfectly south facing with no obstructions so I should be able to see quite a lot of power going through. Since I also have east coverage I was thinking of adding some for less peaks or a battery... Well maybe I just start small and go all in later

I've had the idea of offering "product design review office hours" for years now. Pay $price to spend an hour discussing your project with a ✨real designer✨ (me) and receive (hopefully) valuable feedback.

I believe there could be potential in this idea, but I'm unsure if people would actually be willing to pay for it.

It sounds like fun though.

Any recommendations on office screens for MacBooks that are not the Apple Studio Display?

My criteria:

  • USB-C or Thunderbolt
  • 60W charging minimum
  • Minimum 4K (non-Retina is not an option)
  • as much DisplayP3 as possible
  • Needs USB ports that are capable of keeping an iPad powered
  • Camera and LAN optional, but welcome.

I did not know that a Dr. title would be recorded in the German passport.

It’s very telling about German society:

  • Titles are a fundamental part of people’s identity
  • Titles are displayed and upheld so prominently (by the tiny class of people who have titles) to maintain the social hierarchy from which the title holder benefits

The social benefit is low since most of them are Dr.Lit./Dr.Phil, areas of study without any relevance to the world outside of Germany. https://ard.social/@tagesschau/111928812733016356

It was clear to me that Grover was a scam, but not how dysfunctional it was. I'm trying to send back a device to them (and terminate my relationship) but their support is entirely non-responsive.

@alper I had an issue as well where they were billing an extra month although I sent it back. They were slow to respond but through the Chat thingy on their website I eventually got them to respond and they did refund me within some days.

Was für ein Monitor möchte ich denn? Wichtig wäre mir USB C bzw Thunderbolt und idealerweise Ethernet/RJ45 eingebaut, damit ich nur ein Kabel am Rechner habe.
