I am using @obsidianmd local so no synchronization. But if I would decide to enable synchronization hosted by the wonderful people of #obsidianMD, the price is keeping me away. 8$ is not appropriate. Way to much.
I love Obsidian and the people behind, but not their pricing policy.

I'm saying goodbye to the idea of entrusting my data to the cloud. As I only have a laptop, I don't see any benefit in storing data in the cloud. So if my MD data that I create in Obsidian is the only data that should be synchronized to have it on my phone, these solutions that I no longer trust would be inappropriate.
I would trust the sync solution from Obsidian - but as I said, the price is not reasonable for the amount of data I need (max 200mb).
@pna Mal so aus akademischen Interesse. Du hast auch einen @pna Account und auf troet.cafe. Auf literatur.social gibt es auch einen? Das wäre dann schon verwirrend. Ist im #fediverse ja aber möglich.
@z428@Ulrich Doch schon. <ich will mich nicht wieder verzetteln, wie ich das schon mal so ordentlich in den Sand gesetzt habe, sondern ein einfaches und klares Setup haben. Mastodon und der Account hier sollen quasi mein Hub sein.

Viel wichtiger wäre mir, ein Profil auf einer der writing.as Fediverse Blog Plattformen zu bekommen, weil ich wirklich gerne einen möglichst simplen Blog führen möchte, für Texte und Beiträge, die den Mastodonrahmen sprengen. Hast Du da einen guten Tipp für mich?
@schreiben: Ich denke auch ernsthaft darüber nach, einen reinen Plaintextblog einzurichten, also bestenfalls ein bisserl Markdown. Ich habe dabei an das Fediverse gedacht - da gubt es ja so write.as Instanzen, nur die, die ich gefunden habe, nehmen keine neuen Registrierungen entgegen oder kosten ein Schweingeld. Hat jemand von Euch Erfahrung mit den Bloginstanzen im Fediverse?
Was denkt Ihr so über #bluesky? Ist das nur ein künstlich provozierter Hype, der auf der #shitmusk Welle mitdriftet? Oder ist es das nächste heiße Ding?
Fakt ist, dass Twitter bis zum Anschlag toxisch ist und die Leute einfach dort drin sitzen wie die Frösche in einem Wasserkochtopf, in dem es immer heißer wird - und sie springen nicht raus.
Schön wäre es, denke ich, wenn Bluesky und/oder Threads ans Fediverse angekoppelt würden - oder habe ich da jetzt ein Fass voll Widerspruch aufgemacht?
