The problem with having a Wordpress site is that it's really hard to experiment with your theme. There's no safe workspace to build them up to only apply when you're done, you just kinda have to do them piecemeal in prod.

@MrBehemo Wordpress.com tho, and I haven't paid hard enough to get plugins. ๐Ÿ˜” What I usually do is futz about on a second private blog, but my paid plan with custom CSS doesn't apply to that one (and I still have to reassemble in the real site once I'm done).

Every day I find new ways to be surprised and "delighted" by Unity. Today: turns out that if a vector has a small enough magnitude, normalising it just returns... zero. Even if the magnitude isn't actually all that small. Thanks, Unity. Thunity. ๐Ÿ˜Œ

@vfig Yep, that's what we saw -- my vector was at about e to the 6, which is larger than Mathf.Epsilon but apparently the normalise code has its own much larger Epsilon. unityface.jpg lol, lmao etc

Don't know why this didn't occur to me before, but my modern webcam doesn't seem awful at taking close-up pictures of Lego. To be fair, it would be hard to be worse than the 25-year-old LegoCam... Is it time for another stop motion project?

The problem, of course, is that the modern webcam does not have Lego-shaped mounting points to hold it in position relative to any staging.

Just done the finally tally and apparently I dispensed 27 business cards at Scottish Games Week.

You know, having been to Japan really does put a different spin on watching Godzilla movies. Pretty sure that was the Makuhari Messe conference centre that gets flattened at the end of Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla II (1993), and I'm like I'VE BEEN THERE!!! ๐Ÿ˜ฑ

@MrBehemo Yeah, I spend most of my dev time with music on (or out at edindies where it'd be rude to do noise). I've got a lot better though, I now can't watch movies without recognising stock sound effects! ๐Ÿ˜‚
