@box464 I have an iPhone 15 Pro Max with 256GB with 158GB of free space. There is no reason to suspect my phone. I was offering it up to possibly give @ivory to help debug the issue.

No other Mastodon client is acting this way.

At this point all I can do it continue to press for a solution through Mastodon and a bad review in the App Store.

@mergesort @mergesort Curious: what is motivating you to move from Mastodon to Threads? Wouldn’t Federation demotivate you now that you could talk from Mastodon to Threads but without all the crappy garbage that comes from Meta?

I could see the reverse, “I want to talk to people on Threads, so that’s where I need to be because I can’t see them here.” THAT makes sense.

But you’re saying, “Now that Threads can talk to Mastodon, I’m outta here.” Odd.

@mergesort @eliaschao Mastohost starts at $6/month. That is the cost of social media privacy now. If you own any URLs, then there aren't any additional costs to you.

I set up my Mastohost in about 30 minutes. It took me longer to choose the URL than to get my first account created.

Bluesky....just isn't there yet. As far as I am concerned, Bluesky is "classic" Twitter until they get some vendors hosting instances.

I thought you said you didn’t want Meta to have your data. That’s the cost that I was referring to.

It’s odd to me that you keep debating this point. I feel like you’re still thinking about it.
