@kellogh Plugin seems like a good compromise. There was excessive pitchfork waving, but when you have a successful program like that, it's good to realise at some point that people will expect security, whether or not they are technically entitled to it. (There was a previous case of data leaking to the internet from iterm2 due to a wild bug, so one might imagine that the paranoid would already be avoiding it.)
