@deprecated_ii @udongle @merchantHelios why don't we have both? build for air tightness, but control intake and exhaust flows to bring in fresh air that's conditioned and filtered rather than relying on drafts seeping in. you definitely need tight vapor barriers for condensation control, lest you be plagued with eternal pippa mold.

i needed a way to set the proper humidity level inside based on the temperature outside to prevent condensation on windows & elsewhere from leading to pipkin growth. i had a weather station that sends periodic updates to some gay retard cloud thing over TCP/IP, so i stuck a NAT rule on my router to redirect those to a local server, which captures the data in a SQL database. another server, running home assistant, periodically queries both the latest outdoor temperature and indoor humidity from that database, and has a software humidistat and several automation rules to control its set point. from there, it makes a HTTP request to a raspberry pi to open or close a relay that feeds 24VAC to the humidifier solenoid.

apparently if you click in the proxy field but then click out of it, it fills it in with "null" and then can't federate for shit until you go delete it
