I think that #systemd should do package management. I hate when I have to install some software, but it only has a .deb package. I think that a unified packaging format for Linux would be good.

#Flatpak takes a lot of space and doesn't work well with CLI software. #Snap relies on a closed backend and is not very fast.

I want better, more user friendly #Linux.

@rayckeith so you can buy a fully automatic weapon (one that can shoot in bursts)? Pretty sure only semiautomatic ones (those that are overloaded with the energy of exhaust gases) were legal in the USA. And assault rifles are select fire. So you can choose automatic and semi.

@bperruche Darwin to podstawa macOS, ale bez ważnego oprogramowania dzięki któremu jest dobre UI/UX jak na macOS, np. Finder.

@bperruche najbardziej w Linuxie wkurwia mnie instalacja oprogramowania, multum standardów. Na macOS najczęściej przeciągasz sobie .app do katalogu z aplikacjami, rzadziej jest jakiś instalator przy bardziej zaawansowanych programach. Ale jest jeden format aplikacji i nawet jest opcja jednego instalatora dla procesorów Intel i Apple.

@bperruche @brie najfajniejsze rzeczy z Linuxa (głównie jakieś przydatne programy tekstowe) na macOS też są, dzięki Homebrew i macports.

@bperruche porty praktycznie wszystkiego z Linuxa są na macOS, nie licząc oprogramowania narzędziowego czyli np. aplikacji ustawień. Jak na macOS zainstalujesz sobie jakiegoś wirusa żeby komputer się ciął i wieszał jak ludzie używający Linuxa to masz praktycznie takie same UX jak na Linuxie.
