has been a guilty pleasure of mine lately. I say guilty pleasure because I’ve already spent over 100 hours or so back when it came out, and it’s definitely got its flaws, but I can’t deny it’s so fun. 😄

Since the show reignited the fan in me, I’ve not been able to get enough of New Vegas, and the lore in general. I’ve been wanting to play the games again but have been craving the more modern-feeling games. I gave 76 a try, and I sort of liked it, but it’s not for me. 😅

The Metal Gear series has been… sneaking up… on me again. 🤭

I want so badly to jump into MGSV as I’ve played it a bit already a while back but I think there’s value in me going through all the MGS games. I already played a bit of MGS1 but I think I’m going to restart it. If not I’ll just watch a recap and go to 2. 😅

I’m super looking forward to MGS3 (what a thrill… 🎵)

Sucks that MGS4 is still only on PS3. I’ll just wait for the Master Collection Volume 2, which I’m assuming will have it. 😅

Does anybody know of any good plain editors for ? Would be nice to have rich text support but not necessarily. Something that would store and open files in the Files app?

Wild that we can’t really natively edit text files unless I’m missing something.

We don’t even need TextEdit. Just integrate the functionality into Files, Apple. 🙃

Almost done with season 1 of The Next Generation. I adore this show. I’m so excited for the rest of it, I’ve heard that it only gets better!

As a colossal fan of the original Knight Rider series I realise now that my soul’s been yearning for a show from this time period.

I just love the feel of it, the lore, the characters, the jargon.

All the main cast are my faves, but I love Picard, Data, and Geordi. Riker goes without saying. 😄

@raven yes! It’s got quite an optimistic tone which I super appreciate and also really need. Quite tired of quite a lot of the “good, well-written” media draining any kind of hope you might have. It gets exhausting. Stuff like TNG just lifts your spirits. ☺️

With iOS 17.5, or 17.5.1, not sure which one exactly, Apple has finally fixed a long-standing bug where apps that have alternate app icons sometimes won’t change to what you choose until a reboot. They now change every time, like when they were first introduced.
It’s just interesting to me that that bug has survived through so many iOS iterations. It’s been a problem for ages.

@Joekw it’s definitely fixed from what I’ve seen, and holy moly, really?! 7 years?? Good gosh I feel old. That was ages ago. I remember it worked reliably for a while then suddenly broke and it’s stayed broken until now 😅

I know this because I can never decide on which icons to stay on for apps that offer them lol. So I am constantly changing them

Related: the interface for creating shortcuts is currently a bit clunky. It could use some refinement for sure… it’s serviceable at least. I’m pretty glad you can drag and drop actions between different shortcuts and it copies them over.

My DS3 playthrough isn't going so great. I managed to get to the swamp but now I'm really struggling to find any motivation to go any further. The game has way too much Bloodborne in its DNA to be truly enjoyable to me.

Meanwhile, I've been following the let's plays of a couple of Youtubers and that's been great. I mean, why suffer myself, when I can watch them do it 🤷‍♀️

Okay, Narwhal for iOS is way better than I thought. I used to use it before Apollo and now, it’s probably the last Reddit app that is still around (it’s got a mandatory monthly subscription) - I thought it would be pretty lacking in features etc. but surprisingly it’s pretty capable. I think I’m sticking with this.

Anything’s better than the absolute dumpster fire that is the default Reddit app. It’s so bad I’ll pay to not use it.

The original PSP was my favourite console I’ve ever owned. I have so many memories with that little amazing device. Being able to go back and relive some of that on my freaking phone is seriously pretty magical. 🥹

@MaddyWaves I know exactly what you mean - I think all the PSP models from the very beginning had hardware issues - I remember having sticky buttons or the analog stick would register movement in a direction I wasn’t even pushing it… 😅
But it still pushed on and survived quite a few years before finally giving up 😅

Maybe you can try to get some help to repair it? Though it’s still risky I guess 🙈
