Just as an explanation - this canvas on r/place is a social experiment. All reddit users can take part in it. Everybody gets to set pixels in different colours.

However, you only get to set one pixel every 5 minutes.

So there are communities who create art.

There are individuums who try to disturb and destroy.

And there are individuums who repair.

A reflection on our society.

It's been almost ten years. I don't think of you, that often, anymore. Not every day like I did at first. I'm not sure what triggers it. Sometimes, when I can't sleep, I get up and wander through the house. At that dreadful moment when the blue doom starts to glow through the shades, the anguish of missing you surges up out of some mental basement and fills me. Suddenly I see you everywhere. The kitchen table you bought us. The scratch on the doorframe that your dresser made when we moved in here. The paint color you chose. Another day, another year without your laugh. Without you running up the steps, always two at a time. Never feeling your arms around me, hearing your voice with my ear pressed against your chest. Not seeing your eager smile suggesting we call out of work, jump in the truck, and drive, somewhere, anywhere, to hike, camp, lie under the stars together. I hate that all these memories are wrapped in this sharp-edged grief that, while faded, will never leave me.

I miss you.
