Oh snap, I didn't realize #twitchCon happens in #SanDiego ... I don't really follow enough other streamers to make it worth going for that sake, but it would be fun to go just to visit my hometown! I could even stay with my SIL! (though she lives super far from downtown 😅 ) Alas I'm already spending too much going to Anaheim for Vidcon in June....if only I hadn't moved away from San Diego in 2016 after my first son was born, I'd be so much closer to other content creator events 😩

The amount of anger and vitriol and violent threats from ("so many") men simply to the concept of women feeling safer around bears than they do men is honestly pretty scary. We knew there were a sea of "alpha bro" incels out there, but MY GOD.

Okay guys, I just got home and I'm way too tired to do a livestream 😑 it was a looong bus ride there and back (Link fell asleep against me on the way back, it was very cute except I was in an uncomfortable position) and now I can barely stay awake 😅 maybe I'll try to stream tomorrow although the kids get home early on Wednesdays... I'm going to try to keep myself awake doing house chores now and entering entertaining my "sick" kid.

Ughhhh... My almost six year old is still saying his throat hurts so I'm hesitant to send him to school, but my almost 8 year old is going on a short field trip to a farm and they really need chaperones... I'm going to nervously leave Aeden home with my elderly, overly anxious dad and hope he remembers how to use his cell phone if an emergency happens to call Matthew, who is a lot closer by at work, or at least goes to a random neighbor and asks them for help... It'll probably be fine, but this is just another reminder of how impossible it would be if I had to work a "8-to-5" out of home job that would fire me for taking an unscheduled day off, while barely a day passes where either kid isn't home sick, school is canceled for whatever reason, and/or to say nothing about my increasingly frail dad 🙃

Just played for the first time in a couple of weeks, and I think we just had our first true encounter with griefers...one of them kept calling in air strikes everywhere we had to be at, and the other shot us any time we had samples, including right outside of the extraction point right as we were getting on ship.

We've been pretty lucky in helldivers so far, actually met a few people we sent friend requests to after because we got along great. I don't understand what enjoyment griefers get from making the game suck for others. Guess I'm not fked up enough 🙃

@alexhammy yeah but I don't want to play by myself, and people dont join as often if I host TT_TT It's okay, usually it's fine, this was a rare bad experience...nothing like my days of playing Halo, for sure.

Idk... Maybe it's because I wasn't raised with male privilege, but I feel like if, say, a whole lot of PoC said they'd rather be alone in the forest with a bear than a white person, it'd prompt me to think about the levels of danger that PoC must face from white people to prompt that fear, and decide if it's warranted (it is). I wouldn't instead scream at PoC that they're wrong and clearly I'm the safer choice.

Inb4 "WhAt iF iTs A wHiTe pErSoN aFrAiD oF bLaCk PeOpLe" (what if it's a white person afraid of black people). That's a false equivalence. There is no rational proof to explain why white people should disproportionately be more afraid of black people, certainly not compared to a bear (in regards to race alone. Adding gender to it brings it back to the original point of bear vs man, as unfortunately a significant portion of men of all races are likely to commit SA, femicide or worse. )

The meninists screeching about this really keep thinking they have a total "gotcha" by derailing with "what if it was bears vs black people," ignoring the significant part of the equation which is HOW MUCH MORE LIKELY (WHATEVER THE CATEGORY IS) IS TO ATTACK you IN THE FIRST PLACE, which is MASSIVELY more likely with men than it is women, trans and nonbinary people, regardless of race.

Graphic I struggled in an awkward phone app to make while watching my (cis white male) kids play at the park. This essentially seems to be one of the biggest barriers behind men's understanding of the / debate--they're so fixated on how dangerous surviving a bear attack ONCE IT'S ALREADY ATTACKED is, vs what all us women are saying: which one is more LIKELY to attack in the first place. (no comment on the inshells who literally believe that bear attacks happen more often than even just femicide, ignoring all the other forms of SA that can be much worse than death)

There are of course many other reasons why the majority of women asked choose bear ("they can't impregnate you then force you to marry them" and "they can't buy a gun to get revenge on you for saying no" to name but a few), and the type of men who are too busy mansplaining how deadly a bear attack is ONCE IT'S ALREADY ATTACKED will never shut tf up long enough to learn why they're completely missing the point.

I gotta go make dinner so I can't finish writing all of this out... But hopefully the point is made. Now to prepare for all the inshell meninists who still snidely refuse to accept why they're the reason we choose bear 🙃

jesus h christ why does LinkedIn immediately bombard you with so much spam as soon as you sign up?! And it takes forever to comb through the options to enable emails only for shit that actually matters (like an ACTUAL message from someone you already contacted) but NOT pointless crap like "posts by others that might interest you" . I'm trying to make more professional contacts as a content creator, and a whole lot of them use linkedIn, but god is this website commercialized SEO spamming crap 🤬 🤬 🤬

Does anyone know of a filter or app or something I could use to make a looping animation of a zoom in on a screaming man's mouth that reveals the same image of the screaming man, zooming in on that to reveal the same in HIS mouth, etc...?
