😂😂 My almost 8 yo son, after running into the bathroom right as I was standing up after emptying my diva cup, looks down until the toilet before I've had a chance to flush: "oh my god! 😱"

Then he asked me a bunch of questions about my period, including "does it hurt" (for the first couple of days yes, like a sharp stomach ache and lower back pain, not like a cut) and "do I not really like being a girl" (I said I don't mind everything about being a girl, but we need scientists to invent a pill that stops us from having periods at all). Link then promised to become that scientist to invent that pill so "you don't have to worry about periods anymore" 😋 my sweet boy ❤️

Random shower thought as a #gamer inspired by this Discord conversation about the " #censorship " modesty update to cover up dem heinous side boobs in #StellarBlade :

People always going on about whether the outfits for female characters in fighting-focused games is practical, without mentioning THE HAIR. You're already in the realm of fantasy when they have long-ass hair that would get their head pulled off in their first real fight, who cares about the outfit??

(This reminds me, I need to put together some kind of video essay type thing about my thoughts as a feminist gamer on the Stellar Blade controversy...[I think the hub-bub is silly, this isn't a game you play for realism and having sexy female characters is fine sometimes, just not at our ONLY choice, or in a game that otherwise pretends to be realistic, ie some kind of CoD type thing]))

Okay guys, should I spend today's livestream playing the early access version of Hades 2 that's finally out, or this new little game I just heard of called Little Kitty, Big City, where you "Explore the city, make new friends with stray animals, wear delightful hats, and leave more than a little chaos in your wake. After all, isn't that what cats do best?" (no, the Lies of P final boss is not an option today, I'm already not feeling great thanks to my period, I don't need three more hours of getting my ass spanked, thanks ;p)

@madu oh noooo! I'm obsessed with the first Hades, especially making sure Zagreus and Thanatos ended up as a happy couple... 😅 The gameplay too of course is fantastic, I became a huge fan of the slow shield with Zeus pattern so it lightning bolts enemies as it goes (I forgot what everything is called 😅 )

@madu the gauntlets are fun too! I especially love that you can just hold the button down to keep punching, especially since the switch controllers aren't the most precise or comfortable to use long-term 😅

@ProPublica One of the (numerous) things that bugged me while watching Fallout was the lack of plastic waste everywhere. Metal, sure, but where are all the styrofoam and single-use plastics that would never have biodegraded, even after a nuclear apocalypse?? I get that it's supposed to have happened in the 1950s, but surely there was already plenty of plastic waste floating around by then.

(the impeccably shiny and unscratched Brotherhood of Steel powersuits also bugs tf out of me, but that's something separate)

Ugh... I decided to shave my legs for the first time since last summer so I could wear a dress without feeling self conscious, but now in bed I'm having a hard time falling asleep because they're SO ITCHY 😣 who started this bs barbaric sexist misogynist social norm anyway? What man woke up one day and decided "you know what's unfeminine? Leg hair. From now on, women are required to cut all their arm and leg hair off, or they're unhygienic and gross." *

*I'm mostly kidding, we already know women are societal pressured to be hairless everywhere except their head to better fulfill the sexual fantasy of the nubile young virgin.

We finally got a break in the cold wet weather for me to wear this dress I got from the a couple weeks ago... In general I've grown up wearing a lot of monochrome tank tops and jeans, and flowery or starkly defined patterns feel like "old lady" clothes to me (idk why, don't judge me) but I'm trying to get outside of my comfort zone and change my dress style at least a little bit... Just wish I had a friend who lived close to me who understands fashion so they could help me build up a (used) closet that doesn't look like trash 😅 I rejected all things "girly" throughout my entire childhood, mostly because I didn't want anything in common with the Mean Girls™️ who made my life h*ll, and even at almost 40, I still feel an aversion to trying to look anything like what my brain interprets as feminine (I'm fine with other people looking feminine though, I just always feel like it looks weird on me). I also hate that I get gross sksualized comments from strange men on social media REGARDLESS of what I wear, which kinda makes me want to bring even less attention to myself, but I don't want to let the creeps dictate my life...

Anyway we're due for nice weather for another couple days before heading back into rain, but of course my ****ing period started this evening, so no more dresses until Monday at the earliest 🙃🙃🙃

The kids get home early on Wednesdays so I had to bring them with me, but my almost six year old is being HORRIBLY BEHAVED 🤬🤬🤬 by contrast, my almost eight year old is being an angel. I'm editing a super-cropped version of the six-year-old video we did where my husband described his #vasectomy process and omg looking at my then-newborn while he sweetly breastfeeds is giving me all the maternal feels...so enraging that even something as wholesome as this gets banned on mainstream social media and in public as "sexually explicit nudity" just for having female nipples visible, yes even on the sites that claim to allow breastfeeding photos and videos, as hundreds of posts on my banned screenshots page proves 🙃 https://www.toplesstopics.org/banned

has been so fucking broken for so long whenever it has anything to do with text. As soon as I have any kind of text file on, even if it's turned off visibility, my playback speed shits the bed...and when i try to change the font type, it just WON'T UPDATE, it reverts to whatever was selected before. I'm so pissed at this fucking program, but I just do not have the spoons to learn a whole new program, in addition to everything else that's already on my plate. If I could find a video editor to hire at Vidcon at long last who knows a different software, great...though I have yet to find a video editor who hasn't flaked out and even if I could, I'd have an even harder time finding one who can anticipate the kinds of changes I want to make, so I'm pretty much stuck with doing everything myself in this shitty program for the foreseeable future (:

I put up a brief tiktok agreeing with someone who said if a man is vehemently anti-abortion he should get a vasectomy, and now there are men in the comments telling me women should get IUDs instead, as if the procedures are in any way comparable (also note how those men STILL refuse to take ANY responsibility for their part in causing unwanted pregnancies)

I had the idea of doing a video with my AMAB nonbinary almost-eight year old on Saturday where he does my makeup then I do his before we go to a kid-friendly drag brunch at 12. I'm a little scared what he'd make me look like, but it could be cute and fun 😄
