After my night of literally no sleep on Sunday, coughing fit to burst, I can report that last night, I slept 😴 and I didn’t cough. 😅

Have what I assume is post-viral cough. Yesterday, treated as if asthma. Which means no sleep last night. Awake coughing most of the night. At 4am, cancelled today’s physio appointment. 5am, gave up, in armchair, drinking tea. I suppose the only cure is - time.

Shock reverberated for hours. Called Healthdirect. After any shock, should get checked by GP in the next few days. Luckily, my GP’s have a few same day appointments - off to see doc today.

Re shock: doc surprised I wasn’t told to go to ER last night. Sent me to nurse for ECG, couple of other tests. I’m ok. 😅😌

Nipped into Coles recently to buy Coles Hot Chocolate powder. Out of luck, it’s recently been deleted. Damn. No, I don’t want sachets. Looked up “Best hot chocolate” online. Choice article says, guess what, the best is Coles Hot Chocolate powder. Yes, I let Coles know, much good that’ll do. 🤦‍♀️😳😢

Fair point - if you're not using digital payments, you should make the effort to get used to them. Cash is (mostly) going away. (This article also contains a guide to getting started with digital.)

@timrichards @sister_ratched I guess gift cards will fill the bill. I feel concerned for the older guy I see; he’s trying to raise enough cash each day for a safe night’s shelter. I learned from attempting to help my neighbour, many things are beyond the experience and comprehension of some.

Kindness from bus driver. By the time we reached the final stop, I was the only passenger. Driver asked where I was heading, said “I can drop you off there,” and did so. Lovely way to start the day. 🥰

@anathema_device That’s fascinating. I always thought vanilla originated in places like the Island of Reunion. I learned a lot. My bottle of Aldi vanilla claims it includes vanilla beans - I wonder!
