@ve7fim I have done this manually a few times and I can say that it's ... Optimistic. When it doesnt want to go, it doesnt want to go. Also the harder is usually to pull the actual cables. :)
@f4grx I've pulled so much cable through conduit using a manual fish, and this would really help... Just the distance measurement alone is so useful, because then I can cut my cable to length before pulling it back through.
I don't understand how they can ignore all the usability research that shows how a non-responsive laggy site will make people hate them and drive their user base away. Are they that out of touch?
Or is that their goal?
I mean, this is the company that wants to put "AI" buttons on everything...
I just picked up a working National Instruments PXI crate full of cards at auction for $170. You don't want to know what they used to go for back in the day...
Having used LabView a fair bit back in the days (I still have my copy of the very original release of Labview 1.0 for Macintosh), I think the concept of visual languages, especially for signal processing and hardware-adjacent work has been unfairly maligned.
@ve7fim even now I still have "USB 3.0 port scarcity syndrome" where I try to put USB 2 in 2.0 ports instead of 3.0 ports, even if the computer is entirely 3.0, or I don't have anything going into the 3.0s yet
Phone company doesn't send a bill like they usually do, then tries to enrol me in direct deposit without my consent or knowledge, then sends me a nastygram saying that "Pre-authorized payment has failed", with a penalty fee.
And people wonder why they are one of the most despised companies around here...
Oh, and they raised the price of their service, too.
Looks like CloudFlare has banned me from accessing sites they "protect". This may be in retaliation for the work that I did to raise awareness of their unethical practices and complicity in hate and murder.
It:s always a good time to remind people to not use Cloudflare.
Pulling out some templates from last time and writing some strongly worded letters to a few groups. Let's see if we can lose them a few more customers...
