I commonly browse all by new, and I block users who crosspost any given article to more than one other community. To me it’s almost always a sign that they actually don’t care about the topic or contents, but instead their own post count and user recognition.
Lemmy is a better experience when you hide vote counts.

I bought my first new car about a month ago. I found out car manufacturers basicaly put only 1 or 2 coats of paint on cars these days, so that if you even look at the car wrong, it will scratch and you’ll have to take it in for touch up....

I have a use case where I’d like to store a handful of strings with static values, alongside my code that references them. The general reason for not hard coding them where they’re called, is that I’d like to make it easy for the end user to customize and modify them....
