When articles like this use the word “illegal” what does it even mean? Illegal for whom, and where exactly? Doesn’t NK as a country decide what is legal for NK, or am I being obtuse?

I don’t think that’s how it works. It should only block the communities on those instances, but not the users. At least that’s my understanding.

I hate to say it, but good. I feel for those losing their jobs, but it’s time to bring back smaller game dev companies that produce titles of substance.

Just be up front. Tell her how much you appreciate both her, and Stevie. Tell her since it’s still so close to the holiday season, you hope she’ll accept a holiday gift, on Stevie’s behalf. Hand her the envelope, with the card and money. Let her do the typical “are you sure? you shouldn’t…” and just insist, that you want her to have it. It’s highly unlikely to go the wrong way.

EDIT: I personally wouldn’t be the one to suggest a work trade, up front. That takes a “thoughtful gift” into the “charity” zone. If she offers however, then you can graciously accept.

I was once hiking a mountain in New Mexico, and had a standoff with a vicious, off-leash and in-tact dog. I tried slowly backing down, but it kept advancing any ground I gave it. The owner for some reason refused to come down off the mountain to get his dog, until I yelled at him I would bash the dog’s head in, and he’d still be on the hook for any injuries I sustained while doing it.
