I wonder, why are there so many plural systems on fedi? In real life, I've never met one, or if I have, they do a good job of hiding it. Maybe part of it is the fact that there's more people on fedi than I can possibly hope to meet irl, so I come across more different kinds of people, or that the anonymity of the internet allows people to be who they really are without fear of retaliation or anything. I know a lot of trans people that are out online but aren't out in real life due to one reason or another. Perhaps it's the same reason that you don't see many furries or therians in person - the social stigma against it.
@ChloeCat well. i know like at least 3 other plural systems irl among my friends (and ex-friends, long story) but i don't think any of them ever really mention it irl but they do online or when they found out im plural as well
so i think it probably is mainly about stigma and (lack of) safe spaces. we certainly dont give any indication of plurality irl unless it's 100% safe and there arent any strangers there etc etc. but then it's quite personal for us anyway so

@mel transfem dot social has small mod team, large influx of new users from tumblr, moderation not going so well, too much hornyposting, some directed at minors, not being dealt with due to lack of moderation team. i think
@Sparky i think you should cw posts in the same language as they are written. posting in another language really isn't a reason in itself for a cw though i don't think
when you call me a "good girl", my gender gets reloaded and i start identifying as agender or non-binary (randomly chosen) for the next 30 minutes
out of that I am already a genderfluid lesbian so I am non-binary at times on my own. If you call me a "good girl" at that time, it becomes invalid since im not a girl.
