The amount of drug affected people wandering the streets these days is alarming and it’s not just limited to one suburb.

You’re not wrong. I saw one guy randomly headbutting a pole yesterday.

If you’re on meth in many cases you’re either going to be in prison, in some kind of hospital (normal or psychiatric), or on the streets.

Unfortunately at the moment option 3 is becoming a much more prevalent outcome.

If these folks were harmless that would be one thing, but people on meth can become scary violent.

So on a road near where I live two petrol stations have newly opened within 900 metres of each other. This is on top of a petrol station that already existed 400 metres away from one of these stations.

And I thought to myself, to make that kind of investment in a new station you’d have to be pretty confident in the future of petrol in the medium term.

This is what makes me somewhat skeptical about the imminent switch to electric cars or hydrogen ones for that matter.

Let’s not forget the fact that once the battery dies it’s very expensive to replace. And the thing is it’s hard to factor in whether that’s worth it right now since nobody has a very good idea about how expensive batteries will be in 10 years time.

Look Uluru would be interesting to see. Problem is it’s not all that cheap to get there, nor is the accommodation or anything around it.

Out of curiosity I looked up flights from Melbourne to Alice Springs. The absolute cheapest was something like 678 dollars. That’s not far off the cost of an international return flight to many places in Asia.

If you have limited time and budget it just doesn’t seem worth it to me.

Yup I’m pretty conscious of this. In a previous house I lived in mould throughout wardrobes was an issue at times.

I’d recommend a portable dehumidifier. You’d be surprised how much water they extract from the air.

So a work colleague of mine (about 30 years old) said today he didn’t know who Pol Pot was.

Did you try the white or red dragon fruit? I quite like red dragon fruit. But in any case I don’t find it similar to kiwi fruit at all.

It’s a fairly neutral taste but the red dragon fruit I had in Vietnam did have a subtle taste.

In the case of Pol Pot I wasn’t taught that in school. But somewhere along the lines through simply paying attention I still know who is he in very broad terms.

I really do think some people just live in their own tiny little bubble.
